Jaye Photography

Known online as Jaye Photography and jayeisntcool, Jamye Lynn is a college-age photographer working in Tampa Bay, Florida. She moved to the south when she was only two years old, originally born in New York. She was raised in a small town north of Tampa where she currently resides.

Jamye has always been into photography and videography. Being a very creative child and adolescent, she discovered this career path very early in her life. When she was just eleven years old and starting middle school, she knew that this was her dream career. She would go on to create YouTube videos throughout her middle and high school years, and switched to streaming on Twitch when she reached college. When reaching that age of her life, she also decided to deep dive back into photography and do it the right way this time. Investing in a nice camera she practiced new skills, such as shutter speed, long exposure, angles, and more.

Jamye hopes to one day be a big content creator and influencer to the current and next generation to come. To achieve this goal, she is continuing her content creation with YouTube and Twitch, but have branched out to photography and other skills, such as sewing and jewelry making. She also helps people develop their leadership skills.

She graduated from Pasco-Hernando State College in Florida with her Associate's of Arts degree in General Education in May of 2023. She also graduated from the same institution in May of 2024 with an Associate's of Science degree in Digital Multimedia Technology, completing 42 credits within 2 semesters. After 3 incredible years at Pasco-Hernando State College, she plans to go to the University of South Florida to get her Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Digital Communications and Multimedia Journalism.

Education has always been an instilled as an important aspect to Jamye's life growing up. With her mother being a teacher, she was always surrounded by the school system, and she holds herself to high standards when it comes to school. She started taking dual enrollment classes with Pasco-Hernando State College in her junior year of high school, finishing up all of her English credits for high school a year early. In her junior year, after accidentally getting all A's in the first quarter, she made it her mission to finish the rest of that year and her senior year with all A's. Within those two years, she only finished 1 class out of all 13 needed with a B.

Come her sophomore year of college, she was introduced to student life which changed her life completely. She participated in Student Government for the first time ever, and throughout that year developed herself and her confidence in the department. She also helps people develop their leadership skills as the 2023-2024 Collegewide Student Government President of Pasco-Hernando State College. Being the Student Government President, she helped up-and-coming students develop their leadership skills and confidence. During her presidency, it was important to her to develop new leaders to take over not only her position but the positions of her friends who would be graduating alongside her that year.

On top of her career pathway, Jamye also hopes to be someone for college students to go intern for with any digital media majors and those looking for careers in that field. Many majors and degrees require some form of an internship, and the reason she did not get to do an internship at Pasco-Hernando State College was because the class only accepted 2 students. Jamye wants to be someone who post-secondary students can look up to her and who she can take under her wing and train.
